Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Preparation: Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries, processing transactions, and resolving concerns in a professional manner.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, perform regular stock audits, and use Microsoft Excel to track supplies and reorder medications as needed.
- Data Management & Reporting: Utilize Excel to create and maintain reports related to inventory, insurance claims, and other operational data. Analyze trends and assist in improving operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation, ensuring all transactions are logged properly.
- Insurance Processing: Handle insurance claims, track reimbursements, and resolve any related issues in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, corporate team members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe and compliant pharmacy environment.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred, with an emphasis on operational support.
Skills:
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets, data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to interact with patients, team members, and corporate leadership.
